what is it that makes me feel ashamed of beeing a tourist in a country full of people so friendly
that one shouldnt even try to understand the patterns of how it works with a western/european background(qm). flying stright to bkk with thai airways...oh boy, cant blame them for their service, gin-tonic after take-off (bombay saphire..not the cheap stuff...), nice menu served in clay and cognac afterwards...wow...anyway..back to beeing a tourist. hotel in khao san road, drunk english guys everywhere, puking in everz corner, bitches and hoes all around me..damn, why not to kill mankind(qm). and whz dont those idiots just go to mallorca and hang emself(qm).
enough of the bad moods...now we took the plane to chiangmai where we stay in a beautiful, paradise-like hotel with a garden kept up-to-date by no less than 3 gardeners...wow. ill be posting pics later on. so. just had breakfast and a coffee and now ill take off to the university where we will present our projects and look for potential partners in crime for a jointvernture-project...i think ill have a hardtime...media arts is here considered to be something like graphic design....anzwaz...ill show the the source and keep it blinkin, beepin and crackin.
and where the fuck is the fuckin questionmark on this keyboard. (qm)

It's really cool to read about the familiar scenes from Thailand. I was there last year, and I was also disappointed in the Khao San road scene, which is really over-crowded by Western Europeans looking for a score and a pint. It's potentially worse than the Costa Brava. Hotels here are also quite over-priced, although the city is definitely worth a visit! Chiang Mai is also "discovered" by Western backpackers, but generally has a much better vibe to it. Have you already been to the southern part of the country, or is that for later in this week? Oh yes, if you're thinking about doing some hiking trip around Chiang May, I can recommend the trips by the Banana House, it's a small hostel with the best vibe in the town. Their tours are way cooler than all the other 'mass-tours'.
What kind of project are you going to present? I think I can remember you mentioning something about a teacher who wanted you to join her on a 'school trip', how's that exactly?
Anyway, I am looking forward to those pix. Keep in touch!

sorry for the delay, but getting internetaccess is quite a task here...logging into my webmail takes me like 10 minutes...
Yeah, Chaing Mai has a mcuh better vibe than Bangkok and the weather is also much better. Im here for 8 days now and we had the exhibition on saturday, of course withj a big party and lots of beer...hehe.
Its quite interesting to see how thaistudents work and think, it was a great chance not just to travel here but insted jumping right into a project. Of cource the communcation was a bit hard because many of them are not really into engliosh....but as everybody knows im a natural talent when it comes to languages and im now able to speak a fluent thai and 3 hilltribe dialects.
So much for that. We will be leaving CHiang Mai on wednesday to go to Bkk and then well be heading for Koh Tao and go diving,.,i need some serios hanging round in the hammock und beach and sea...snorkeling!
Im afraid youll have to wait for the pics until im home, the net is much too slow here.
BUt ill keep zou guys updated.
